Microsoft's motion gaming peripheral is, if executed correctly, quite possibly the future of gaming. This wonderful new gaming experience brings out the real gamer in you, by grabbing you and actually putting you inside the game. This is no ordinary piece of gaming experience, as you become the controller. The kinect works by sensing certain areas of the human structure which allows you to move around your room and the person you are playing as will respond to your every movement, making a realistic experience. This wonderful piece of software also has a microphone which gives the kinect voice recognition. This allows you to turn the kinect on or off, play movies or games, move through the menus and much more. This makes the Xbox menu a lot faster and easier to use.The kinect also has a very small camera installed to the front. This small camera takes pictures of you whilst you are playing games, which shows how silly you really look. This makes this experience a lot more fun and enjoyable.
Can you think of a better way to spend your evening than staying in on the kinect with a few friends? Or would you rather stay in with your Nan and watch eastenders? No I dint think so. Although the kinect is a bunch of fun, it is incredibly hard to play when you have the fitness of a duck. So when buying buying the kinect you may want to re think to yourself, ‘can I be bothered to move’. If the answer is no, then don’t waste your money. On the other hand, if you are an energetic person, there is no better way to use that energy up than playing the kinect. You could go for a run but that is incredibly boring and let’s be honest you’re not going to.
Another benefit of the kinect is that everybody knows that Facebook runs people’s lives. So, if you are able to deprive yourself from Facebook than the kinect will use up that spare time and fill it with everlasting fun.
I have my own kinect and 5 minutes of playing time drains my energy but like I said, it is a bunch of fun and there is no better way to spend your time than playing on the kinect.
