Microsoft's motion gaming peripheral is, if executed correctly, quite possibly the future of gaming. This wonderful new gaming experience brings out the real gamer in you, by grabbing you and actually putting you inside the game. This is no ordinary piece of gaming experience, as you become the controller.
The kinect works by sensing certain areas of the human structure which allows you to move around your room and the person you are playing as will respond to your every movement, making a realistic experience. This wonderful piece of software also has a microphone which gives the kinect voice recognition. This allows you to turn the kinect on or off, play movies or games, move through the menus and much more. This makes the Xbox menu a lot faster and easier to use.
The kinect also has a very small camera installed to the front. This small camera takes pictures of you whilst you are playing games, which shows how silly you really look. This makes this experience a lot more fun and enjoyable.
There are some small faults with the kinect, such as slow recognition time. This doesn’t happen very often, but if it does then it can be a pain to sort out. There are also lighting problems. If the room you are playing in is not lit very well due to dim lights then the kinect will play up... This is not what you want when you have just had a hard day at work! On top of these disability’s that the kinect obtains, there is not many games out for it at this present time, although kinect games will start to overcrowd stores near you with all sorts of exciting and enjoyable games, such as, sports, fighting, adventure, puzzles, action ect.
Overall the kinect is a great way to enjoy a night in with the family or even enjoy a night in with some friends. Sticking the kids in front of the kinect for a few hours also wares them out allowing you to have a nice quiet night in. grab the kinect from your local store and enjoy a new generation of gaming.
